Grace was born on August 8, 1933 in Sidney, Montana to Harold and Margaret (Vincent) Nees. She passed away on July 9, 2016 at the Madison Valley Medical Center in Ennis, Montana, after complications with a lengthy battle with cancer and diabetes.
Grace moved around with her family for many years, but spent most of her school years in Waitsburg, Washington, before making the move to Poplar, Montana. She finished her senior year and graduated from Glasgow High School. Upon graduation, Grace was employed at the Roosevelt County Courthouse, before she found a job with the Traders State Bank in Poplar. Soon after she met and married the love of her life in R.E. “Stub” Nesbit in 1953 and had three sons. They spent their life together on the ranch at Mineral Bench and spent several winters in Three Forks. After Stub’s passing, she moved to Sidney for several years, and then moved to Willow Creek and then Three Forks where she was residing at the time of her death.
Grace is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, Ted and Bud Nees.
She is survived by her three sons Larry (Berva Dawn) Nesbit and family of Rupert, Idaho, Jim (Mary) Nesbit and family of Poplar, and Dave (Nancy) Nesbit and family of Willow Creek, two sisters-in-law Diane Nees of Butte and Charlotte Nees of Virginia and their families, brother-in-law Charlie Nesbit of Billings, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ashes will be interred at a later date in Poplar, Montana. Any donations are suggested to the Three Forks Area Ambulance or a local charity of your choice.
