Wendy Lisa Chopper, age 49, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 30, 2022 at 10:55 p.m. in Billings, MT.
Wendy was born on July 2, 1973 in Devils Lake, ND to Abraham Chopper, Sr. and Lorene (Good Soldier) Michel. Wendy attended school in Sheyenne, ND until her freshman year and then went to Clearfield Job Corps in Clearfield, UT. She was in culinary arts. After leaving Job Corps, she worked at so many different places throughout her life. She worked at Dakota Tribal Industries. Spirit Lake Casino in Ft. Totten, ND, MIT Telemarketing, Dakota Sportwear, Noodles by Leonardo, Taco John’s and McDonald’s, in Devils Lake, Subway and Taco John’s in Jamestown, ND, McDonald’s in Aurora, CO, Bear Lodge Assisted Living and Cenex in Billings, MT, Bryan’s in Wolf Point, MT and as a CAN at the Poplar Hospital and at Tribal Express in Poplar, MT.
When you think of Wendy, remember all the good memories she let with you. She was a kind soul that loved her family and friends to the fullest. She would try to help anyone out in need if she could. When you hear her name, visualize her beautiful smile and her infectious laugh and say “that was my friend!” She had touched so many peoples lives in her lifetime that she will be forever loved and forever missed.
She is survived by her mom, Lorene Michel of Poplar. Her children Colby Chopper of Sioux Falls, SD, Benjamin Chopper and Royce LaVallie of Fargo, ND, and Payton (Thomas) Knoth of Flaxville, MT. Her siblings, Abraham Chopper, Jr., Jolene (Cowboy) Chopper-Jones of Poplar, Joseph (Sara) Dunn of Jamestown, ND, Louis Dunn of Fargo, ND, Tiffany Chopper of Billings, MT and Nicolle (Maurice) Bighorn of Brockton, MT. Her grandchildren Zane, Azzurah, Izzariah, Cameron, Braxton and William. Special grandson Zayden Chopper. Aunties Violet Buck Elk, Priscilla Carpenter, Aletha Crazybull, Ruth (Terry) Necklace, Flora Hapa, Lorna Martin and Vernita Bear. Uncles Vernon Chopper, Clifford Jerome and Lester Fast Horse, Sr. Cousins Kalijah GoodSoldier, Sr. Pierre Jr., Corey and Cliff Youpee, Samantha (Lil’Man) Savior-Lingee, Clifford GoodSoldier, Jr., Olivia GoodSoldier, Charles GoodSoldier, Jr., Annalissa (Lane) Adams, Danielle (Jason) Martinez, Cody GoodSoldier, Chico Martell, Mary Follette, Teresa, Daryl, Yvette and Janel Buck Elk, Shalane and Ann Chopper, Vernice (Robert Eder), and Frank Chopper, Arden Necklace and Cordell Four bear, Special nephews Ashton and Austin Cloud and Aaron Savior-Jackson, special niece Sami Jo Cloud, many nieces, nephews and relatives too numerous to mention as we have a very large family. It brings us comfort knowing she had many loved ones waiting for her with open arms. Until we meet again our beloved daughter, sister, mom, auntie, cousin, grandma and friend, watch over us. We’ll ALWAYS love and miss you, Wendy Lisa Chopper.
